Obituary

Glen was born in Los Angeles to Larry and Lily Kazahaya on April 30th,1950. He went to Dorsey High School, UCLA and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BS in Business Administration.  He spent his career in healthcare as CFO/CEO of several hospitals and as President of his company, Hospital FOCUS.

Glen was known for his incredible work ethic and determination that was passed along from generation to generation amongst the Kazahayas.  He established a stellar reputation within the healthcare industry for being innovative, intelligent and a driving force amongst his peers.  He was so well known that his son Derek is still known as the son of Glen Kazahaya at hospitals across America.

Glen enjoyed Lakers basketball, along with UCLA and Cal football and basketball.  More recently, he looked forward to his Wine Friday get-togethers.  He was frequently seen with a camera in hand, a hobby he enjoyed.  He would put pictures and music on a DVD of all sorts of special events to keep the memories alive.  He also loved listening and singing to music from as far back as the 60's.

Glen had a heart of gold and was always willing to help his family and friends without any hesitation. He was so grateful to all who prayed for him, sent him cards, emails, brought him food, and folded the 1000 cranes.  His infectious smile and vibrant personality shined even in the dullest room and was always the life of the party wherever he was.

Glen is survived by his wife Carol, son Derek and his wife Jenn, brother Norio (Jeannie), sister Dianne, mother Lily, brothers in law Edwin (Karen), Kenny (Anne), nieces and nephews, relatives, and many friends he considered family.

A celebration of Glen's life will be held at a later date.
