George Umeda also known as "Philo", 91 years old, Korean War Veteran, Hawaii born and resident of Los Angeles, CA passed away on January 13, 2020.

He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Umeda.
He is survived by daughter, Darlene (John) Okuno of Hawaii; grandsons, Devin and Trevor Okuno; sister, Florence Numa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Hawaii.
Private funeral service was held at Fukui Mortuary Chapel officiated by Rimban Briones of Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
