Public memorial services for the late MR. GEORGE "SLIM" SUGIYAMA, 84, Seattle, WA born Nisei, resident of Los Angeles, passed away on October 22, at Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center, will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 9:00A.M. at South Bay Community Church, 1459 W. 190th St., Gardena, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Sugiyama; daughter, Sharon (Brian) O'Rourke; sons, Kit and Rod (Clare) Sugiyama; grandchildren, Lance Sugiyama, Dana ) O'Rourke, Craig and Sarah Sugiyama; sisters, Mary and Betty Sugiyama and brother John Sugiyama, also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: "The Tiger's Club Scholarship Fund" in memory of "Slim" Sugiyama.
Also the family is requesting casual attire.
