Obituary
MR. GEORGE Y. SHIMONO, 78, 35-year retired Rockwell International Engineer and US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2011.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Tokuko Shimono; loving son George Y. (Carol) Shimono Jr.; loving daughter, Debbie F. (Paul) Knight; loving son-in-law, Trevor Stanley; loving grandchildren, Mei Xia Stanley, Aston Shimono and Karla Shimono; 4 brothers, Henry (Miyako), Sam (Natsuye), Jim and Goro Shimono; sisters, Helen Jung and Mary Shimono and many nephews nieces and relatives.
Predeceased by his loving daughter, Sherry K. Stanley.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, from 7:00PM at Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 E. 3rd St., Los Angeles.
