A private funeral service for the late Mr. George Ichiro Shimamoto, 83 year-old, Honolulu born, Nisei resident of Monterey Park who passed away on November 11th was held on Saturday, November 17th at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

He is survived by his loving family; son, Glenn (Liz Ann) Shimamoto; daughters, Lisa (Ralph Fernandez) Shimamoto and Diane (Wayne) Yokoyama; grandchildren, Bryan (Monica) Shimamoto, Amy (Brian) Lew, Grace Shimamoto, Blake and Kai Yokoyama; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
