George Masayoshi Okada was born on February 23, 1925, in San Jose, Calif. He passed way from brief illness, surrounded by his family in Oxnard on April 23, 2013.
He was an avid golfer and his yearly trip to Vegas with friends and family or mini trips to Chumash. He enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles, and watching the golf station.
He graduated from Hollywood High School, 1942 before being sent to a relocation camp at Santa Anita and then interned at Heart Mountain relocation center, Wyoming.
Preceded by death was his wife of 31 years, Miyoko Okada.
He is survived by his loving children, Hayato Sonny, Peggy Izumi (David) Trude, and Eric Isamu; grandchildren, Anthony Okada and Ryan Trude ; and older sister, Hideko Jane McNeely. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
