Funeral Services for the late Mr. George James Okamoto, a 98-year-old, Santa Fe, California-born Nisei resident of Monterey Park who honorably and proudly served his country in the 442nd RCT, "H" Company during WWII and who passed away peacefully on April 17, 2015 will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 1:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012 officiated by Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church, with a military honor guard tribute to immediately follow at the Go For Broke Memorial in Little Tokyo.



Mr. Okamoto was predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Blanche Mitsuyo Okamoto. He is survived by his son, Charles (Cathy) Okamoto; grandchildren, Corey and Cameron Okamoto; sibling, Sue Saiki. Also survived by many other family members both here and in Japan.
