Obituary
Memorial service for the late George Y. Fujimori, 91 year-old,
Fresno, CA born resident of Gardena, who passed away peacefully at his residence on December 23, 2012 will be held on Friday, January 11th, 11:00 am at Gardena VFW Post #3261, 1822 W. 162nd St., Gardena, CA 90247.
George was a Nisei Veteran who served as a Military Intelligence
Service Linguist and was honored to receive the Congressional Gold
Medal which was awarded to all Nisei Soldiers in the 100th/442/MIS at a ceremony in Washington D.C., 2011, for their service to our Country in WWII.
He is survived by his loving family; son, Glenn (Carole) Fujimori of IL; daughters, Laurie Fujimori of IL and Wendy (Richard Hawkins) Fujimori; brother, Roy S. Fujimori; sister, Midori (Mike) Matsumura of NV; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
