Obituary

George Dylan Elliott, age 65, Buffalo, NY born, resident of Los Angeles, passed away of natural causes on February 1, 2022 at his residence. A private service and blessing is being held by closest family and friends.

George had an incredible passion for the art of acting and theatre. He was dedicated to instilling and strengthening this same love in the hearts of his teen and young adult students as an acting coach over many years. In 2013, he founded and directed the Actor's Actor Studio & Workshop in Portland, OR, and wrote and produced an original play, "Lost in the Shadows." He had a wealth of creativity that was irrepressible. Beyond spreading his love for the performance arts, George offered kindness and patience to those around him. He made time to listen to others in their times of need and extended an abundance of nonjudgmental understanding, support, and guidance, no matter what hour of the day.

George had a zest for life, always looking forward to the next opportunity and working hard to make his hopes and dreams a reality. On this lifelong journey, George cultivated a taste for fine wine, cigars, and mouthwatering steaks. Again, throughout his life, he turned these personal favorites into opportunities to teach others through various positions as a restaurant manager and professor at a culinary institute, among others. He loved music of all kinds, but above all, Sinatra. And, we cannot forget George's unwavering love for sports; he will forever cheer on his beloved Lakers, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, USC Trojans, and NY Yankees.

George was predeceased by his loving mother, Mamie Jones. Among others, he is survived by his daughter Violet Hill, grandchildren Myles and Autumn, daughter Rosalind (Luke) Butterfield & grandchild Cole and, daughter Janine Elliott. George will be remembered by his family and friends as a joyful, loving, effervescent, and spirited man. May his soul rest in peace and in all of the hearts he touched throughout his full, yet too short, life.
