Funeral services for the late Mr. George Ichiro Hontani, 86, Los Angeles born Nisei and resident of Santa Monica who passed away on March 9 at the Keiro Nursing Home and, also, Mrs. Chiaki Hontani, 73, a Wakayama born Issei who passed away on March 12 at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, will be held on Monday, March 19, 11:30AM at Fukui Mortuary Chapel, 707 E. Temple St., L.A., with Bishop Taisen Miyata of Koyasan Buddhist Temple officiating.

They are survived by their daughter, Judy (Neal) Tomita; grandchildren, Stephanie and Kyle Tomita and also by nephews, nieces and other relatives here and in Japan. George is also survived by his brother Bob Yutaka (Chieko) Hontani and Chiaki by her sister, Haruko (Sam) Yamashita.
