Funeral services for the late George Mitsuo Asato, a 78-year-old, Waianae, Oahu, Hawaii-born Nisei resident of Montebello and Veteran of the United States Army who passed away on January 21, 2012 will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012, 11:00 AM at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. First St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. The family requests casual attire for the service and that flowers be omitted.



Mr. Asato is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen Sonoe Asato; siblings, Mitsuyo Uyeunten, Harue Oshiro and Shigeo (Sumiko) Asato, Betty (Katsuo) Nakata, Ethel Asato, Robert (Miko) Asato, Inez Nakata, and Roger (Julie) Asato and Harold (Charlene) Asato. Also survived by many other relatives here and in Hawaii.
