Private memorial service for George M. Arakawa, 87 year-old Maui, Hawaii born Nisei, resident of Los Angeles who passed away on January 21, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center was held on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Fukui Mortuary, "Chapel In The Garden".

He is survived by his sons, Floyd Arakawa of Santa Maria and Baron (Ann) Arakawa; daughter, Pearl (Herb) Aguirre; siblings, Mabel (Shinso) Tamanaha, Iwao (Otome) Arakawa, Dora Jinohara, and Lawrence (Agnes) Arakawa, the latter three of Hawaii, Patrick (Yolanda) Arakawa of Ohio, Saigo (Katsuko) Arakawa, and Sueko Arakawa and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in Hawaii.
