Garrett Katsuyuki Nakamura passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 20, 2021 at his residence in San Gabriel, Calif.  He was born November 23, 1942 Manzanar, Calif. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, worked for the L.A. Times until his retirement in 2002. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cecilia; sons, Aaron (Leanora) Nakamura and Derek (Christine Brossin) Nakamura.

He is also survived by his brother Tom (Janet) Nakamura, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A service will be held at a later date.
