A private service for the late Fusako Kumamoto, 92-year-old resident of Monterey Park, California, who passed away peacefully on August 24, 2017, was held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with Bishop Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.

She is predeceased by her husband, Katsumi Kumamoto; children, Dennis Kumamoto and Kathryn Watanabe; and grandson, Ryan Watanabe.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris (Ronald) Hirosawa; granddaughters, Janis (Ryan) Henneberg, Shannon (Gregory) Hogue, and Karen (Tim) Kawasaki; great-granddaughter, Lucy Hogue; brother, Yoshio Kawai; and many other relatives.
