Funeral Service for 97 year old Fumiko Shibata who passed away peacefully on October 5, 2015 was held at the Green Hills Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Graveside service was conducted by Rev. Yukinori Gyokei Yokoyama of the Long Beach Buddhist Church.

Fumiko is pre-deceased by her husband, Hiroshi and her youngest son, Robert Shigeyuki. She is survived by her daughter, Lily Hiroko Masuno and son, Shingo William (Keiko) Shibata, 6 grandchildren: Christopher Masuno, Aileen Shibata, Corey Shibata, Mitchell Shibata, Jeffrey Shibata and Katrina Shibata, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews in California and Wakayama, Japan.
