Fumiko Kouka Mikami passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the age of 106. She was born on October 20, 1912 in Buena Park, CA. She was a talented and respected flower arranging (Ikenobo) instructor. In 1992, Mrs. Mikami received the Kunsho Award, the Order of the Precious Crown, Ripple conferred upon her by his majesty, the Emperor of Japan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chihiro, and by her son, Richard. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Harold) Keimi, her daughter-in-law, Virgene Doyle, her grandson, Mark (Kristen) Mikami and her granddaughter, Lynne (Timothy) Meehan. She will also be dearly missed by her 5 great-grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Allie, Tommy and Sarah and other relatives in Japan. Funeral services will be held at Fukui Mortuary, 707 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, on Wednesday, July 17 th at 10:00 A.M.
