Fumiko “Mickey” Maruya, 94, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026.

She is survived by her loving husband, Al Soto Maruya. Children: Gordon (Susan Liu) Maruya, Craig (Robin Kushi) Maruya, Cynthia (Frank) Adkins, Caroline (Christine Lee) Maruya, and Sharon (Philip Shin) Maruya Shin. Grandchildren: Russell Maruya, Lauren Maruya, Kasey Maruya, Christopher (Shobana) Adkins, Timothy Adkins, Jillian (Robert Gilbert) Adkins, and William Shin. Great-grandchildren: Henley and Farrah. Sister: Michiye Takahashi. Her chihuahua companion, Bingo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many family members and dear friends who will remember her fondly.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at Union Church of Los Angeles, 401 E. Third Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
