Mrs. Fumiko Jane Lee, age 80, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully.
Born on November 15, 1945, to Tokumi Jerry Sato and Tomiko Grace Sato, Fumiko was a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown.

A graduate of Garfield High School, she went on to earn her degree from East Los Angeles College in 1984 and built a dedicated career as an underwriter.

Fumiko’s life changed forever on a Friday night at the bowling alley while bowling with the China Organization. It was there that she met Richard Lee, a fellow team member with whom she instantly fell in love. The couple was married on June 9, 1984, and soon welcomed their children, Melissa and David.

Known for her loving and caring nature, Fumiko poured her heart into her family and community. She was a loyal wife, a proud mother, and a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren, Nathan, Mei, and Rei, with whom she cherished every moment.Whether she was going out to lunch with friends, baking treats for her co-workers and local medical office staff, gardening, or spending time with her beloved dog, "French-Fry," Fumiko brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met.

In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, and later in life, she found quiet joy in the simple pleasures of home—solving word search puzzles, working on sticker mosaics and sticker-by-number books, watching her favorite Hallmark movies, and getting engrossed in police and crime television dramas like 9-1-1, Law & Order, CSI, and Blue  Bloods.

Fumiko was always there for everyone, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, devotion,and gentle love. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Richard, her children,Melissa and David, her grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 11:00AM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.
