Fumiko Ikkanda, (98 years old) a Kibei Nisei born in Waikane, HI, passed away peacefully at home on March 6th, 2025.  She is predeceased by her loving husband, Roy Mitsugi Ikkanda. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Kiku), Vance (Reiko), daughter Karen (Gary) Taka; Grandchildren, Emi (Kieran) Ikkanda, Brian (Joyce) Ikkanda, Michael Ikkanda, Lisa (Michael) Hyun, Allison (Jon) Tawa, and John Taka; great-grandchildren, Brooke Ikkanda, Josephine Ikkanda,  Kina Ikkanda, Kei Hyun, Camden Hyun, and Kenzie Hyun; Sister, Suzuko (Ben) Sera, and many nieces and nephews here and in Japan.
A private funeral service was held at the West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple on April 24th, 2025. Officiated by Reverend Koho Takata.
