June 19, 1917-January 12, 2015
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Fumi (Hiraishi) Yoshizaki, after a long and richly fulfilled life, passed away quietly on January 12, 2015 at the age of 97. She is survived by her daughters: Judy (Shiz) Nakawatase and Elaine (Dean) Kunihiro; sons: Steve Yoshizaki and Wayne (Michael Fatula) Yoshizaki; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Fumi was predeceased by her husband Tadashi, two sisters, Chiyeko & Miyeko, and brother, Tom.
Fumi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and trusted friend to all in her life. Family always came first with Fumi and was a source of great joy for her.
A private family service was held at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" on January 31, 2015, with Reverend Chris Fukunaga officiating. The family, at Fumi's request, asked that no koden, flowers or gifts be sent.
