Frances Tayeko Yoshimoto, 97-year old Garden Grove-born resident of Monterey Park, passed away peacefully at her home on August 6th. A private family burial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, followed by a celebration of her life with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Masato Yoshimoto; son, Dennis Keiichi Yoshimoto; sister, Chieko Miyakawa; and brothers, John and Tom Shiroishi. She is survived by her children, Glenn Mikio (Cathryn) Yoshimoto, Joyce Yukiko (Masayuki) Sato, and Virginia Sanaye (Gregory) Young; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Yoshimoto; siblings, William Shiroishi, Betty Kurakake, Robert Shiroishi, and Noriko Gardiner; also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren (and two soon-to- be great-grandchildren).
