Beloved wife of Fumio Okamuro; sons, Jack (Diane), Robert (Julia), and Douglas (Alessandra) Okamuro; grandchildren, Courtney Shararian (Chris), Lynne, Lillian, Brittany, Nicole, Kyle and Luke; great-grandchildren, Michael and Sarah Shararian; and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 26th at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012,  with Reverend Ruy Mizuki or Chatsworth United Methodist Church officiating.

Florence was born in Pasadena, CA. Florence and family were interned in the Manzanar War Relocation Center during World War II. She completed high school in Chicago, IL, and returned with her family to Pasadena.  She married Fumio and moved to Glendale, CA, to raise her family. She worked for the L.A. County Sherriff's department after the children were grown, eventually retiring from there. She loved dancing and traveling with Fumio, family and friends.  For 17 years she accompanied Fumio on fishing trips to New York.  The fishermen knew the Okamuro's were there when they would see Mom spotting the trout for Dad.

In her later years she moved to Alexandria with Jack and Diane.  Florence passed away quickly and quietly in Alexandria, VA, with family by her side.
