Obituary

A long-time resident of Stockton, Eva Kobayashi, 96, passed away on November 18, 2025. Originally from Kapoho, Hawaii, she relocated to Stockton, where she worked for Zuckerman Farms as a farm laborer and later for the Stockton Unified School District as a clerk at Zachary Taylor Elementary School, where she retired after 32 years of service. Her hobbies included doing Word Search and crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting, and pampering her cats. She is predeceased by her husband Hideo Kobayashi and her daughter Tammy Kobayashi. She is survived by her daughters Dian (Shaun) Shimoda-Kobayashi and Wendy (Tom) King, her grandsons Matthew King and Andrew (Crystal) King, her sister Tatsuko Hara in Japan, and numerous nieces and nephews in Hawaii and Japan. Her perseverance, determination, and dedication to her family will always be greatly admired; and she will be truly missed.
