Funeral serivces for the late Esther Sonoe Matsuguma, 78-year-old Los Angeles-born Sansei resident of Torrance who passed away on November 10 at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 11 a.m., at Peninsula Community Church, 5640 Crestridge Rd., Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., with Rev. Rick Chuman of L.A. Holiness Church officiating and Fukui Mortuary directing.

Predeceased by her husband, Shigao Matsuguma (1998), she is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Hiro) Takiguchi and Norma Corning; sons, Jerry (Maria) Matsukuma, Mark (Jan) Matsuguma and Daniel (Marianne) Matsuguma; grandsons, Kevin Matsuguma, Sean Takiguchi and Kai Matsukuma; granddaughters, Erin Takiguchi, Dalyn Matsuguma, Cameron and Carly Matsukuma, Chiana "Kiki" Corning and Kelsey and Kaitlin Matsuguma; brother, Stephen Yahiro; sisters, Eunice (Henry) Mukai and Susan (George) Asklipiadis; sisters-in-law, Fumie Yahiro, Doris (George) Kuroki and Arlene Yamane; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
