EMIKO NISHIO
Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Emiko Nishio, 85 year old, resident of Ramona, a Los Angeles, California born Nisei and former Gardena resident passed away on June 2 at Kaiser Permanente San Diego, will be held on June 15, 11:00 AM at Nichiren Buddhist Temple, 2801 E. 4th St., Los Angeles. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Susan G. Komen, www.komen.org, or American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
Mrs. Nishio is survived by her husband, Toshio Nishio; mother of Kathy (Kurt) Stevens of Colorado, Janice (Colin) Backholer and Ken Nishio; grandmother of Kyle and Jennifer Stevens of Colorado, and Michelle and Eric Backholer; siblings Taye (Ichio) Torio and Chieko Morinaka. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
