Emiko Matsumoto, born May 11, 1931 passed away peacefully on January 29, 2017 with her beloved dog, Miso at her side. She is the dearly beloved mother of Karen Matsumoto Deck, and Kenneth Eugene Matsumoto, and sister of Akiko (Tamura) Okui. She is predeceased by her parents, Sentaro Ben and Hatsuko Tamura, husband Dick Yutaka Matsumoto, son, David Matsumoto, and brother Toshikazu Tamura. She is survived by her daughter and son, sister and brother in-law, as well as four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nephews and their families. as well as lifelong friends. A private service was held on February 12, 2017 at the West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple, officiated by Reverend Fumiaki Usuki, and presided by Fukui Mortuary.
