MRS. ELSIE HIGA, 93-year-old, Torrance, CA born Nisei and resident of Monterey Park, passed away on December 22, 2020 at Garfield Hospital after suffering a broken hip. Unfortunately, she contracted Covid in the hospital and was not able to recover from her injury.

Predeceased by her husband Miyoshi Higa, she is survived by her children; Eric (Sandy), Guy, Corrine and grandchildren; Erica, Andrew and Dylan Higa. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Due to Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or Koden, the family requests you keep "Maka's" warm smile and laughter in your memory.
