Elina Mitsuyo Chinen, 86-year-old, Honolulu-born Nisei resident of Gardena, passed away on December 5, 2019. She is survived by her daughter Lesley Chinen of Gardena; stepdaughter Lynda Iraha of Honolulu; stepgrandson Evan Yamamoto of Honolulu; sisters Kathryn (Masaru) Miyataki and Ruby (Paul) Kakugawa both of Hawaii; brothers Douglas Oshiro, Sanford Oshiro, Keith Oshiro and Derek (Norine) Oshiro all of Hawaii. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hideo Chinen.

A funeral service will be held on January 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Jikoen Hongwanji Mission in Honolulu. An inurnment service at City Memorial Park in Honolulu will follow.
