Funeral services for the late Edith Tomiko Iwashina, 96 year- old San Jose, California born, nisei resident of Los Angeles who passed away on April 10, 2009, will be held on Saturday April 18, 2009, 9:00A.M. at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St, Los Angeles, California.
Edith is survived by son, Kenneth Iwashina; daughter, Shirley (Dr.Shigeru) Kawanami; grandsons, Dean (Chiaki) Yamashita, Craig (Emi) Yamashita of Japan, and Kevin Iwashina,; great-granddaughter, Leila Yamashita; sister, Dorothy Nagao; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
