Dr. Katsumi Miyai, 85-year-old, Yokosuka Japan born, resident of San Diego passed away peacefully with family and friends by his side on November 9th. A private funeral service was held on Saturday November 26th at Fukui Mortuary " Chapel in the Garden" and was officiated by Rev.Uzunoe.

Dr. Katsumi Miyai, Professor Emeritus of Pathology and Internal Medicine was a leading educator for 45 years at the UCSD School of Medicine.

He is survived by his wife, Chiyoko Miyai and his three children and grandchildren.
