Dorothy Yayoi Honda Ono passed away peacefully on March 04, 2020 at the age of 98 in Torrance, Calif.  Dorothy was born on March 11, 1921 in Fowler, Central CA.  She met her husband, Tokumi Ono, in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles after internment camp in Gila River, AZ and relocating from Chicago. Eventually the family settled down in Torrance.

Dorothy will always be remembered for her kind heart, patience, sense of humor and grace. She cherished her family and friends, welcoming everyone into her life. Dorothy made an everlasting imprint on the lives of all who knew her. She will be missed greatly.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Tokumi Ono of Honolulu,HI. She is survived by daughter Patricia Nakasone Brown,  sons, Russell (Diana) Ono and Miles Ono; grandchildren Justin (Mallory) Nakasone, Kyle Brown, Tracie (Brian) Bacho and Megan Ono; great-grandchild Nijah Nakasone;  sister Marie Maeda, sister in law Toshiko Ono, HI and many nieces, nephews and relatives.

A private service is scheduled and a memorial reception will be held at a later date.
