Dennis, a short-time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on August 7 th at the age of 65. He was unmarried and retired.
Dennis was born and raised in Los Angeles and lived in the Silverlake area with his family. He graduated from Belmont High School, Class of 1974. He was an employee at Ralphs Market for many years. He was an avid baseball fan and ushered at Dodger Stadium for a couple of seasons. He attended Trade Tech in Los Angeles where he studied and earned a degree in computer programing. He spent many years giving back to the community coaching girls' basketball for the Hollywood Dodgers. He was an active Gamer in the video gaming world, a huge baseball LA Dodgers and hockey LA Kings fan. He was involved with the baseball memorabilia community. His lifelong baseball collection was a lucrative business in his adult years. He was a kind and quiet soul who touched many lives and will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his mother; Marion Fumiko Hayashi, brothers; Dale Hayashi, Dan Hayashi (Cynthia Herrera), Joey Hayashi, sister; Lynne Hayashi. He was an uncle to Chasen Hayashi (Genesis), Janey Hayashi and Joey Hayashi Jr.; a great-uncle to Nathan Hayashi and Bradyn Hayashi. He is predeceased by his father Shiunro Hayashi.
Outdoor funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21 st , 11am, at Fukui Mortuary. We are requesting that only vaccinated friends and family attend. We will provide masks for this socially-distanced ceremony. Casual and comfortable attire is recommended.
