Memorial service for the late David Taira, 75-year-old, CO born resident of Gardena, who passed away on February 28, 2012, will be held on Saturday, March 10, 3:00 P.M. at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W. 182nd St., Torrance.

He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Toma) Taira; sister, Haruko Ishizawa; brother, Harley Taira; brothers-in-law, Jim Ishizawa, Wally and Harold Toma, and Joe Tani; sisters-in-law, Florence Taira and Shizue Toma; he is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Tommie) Tamanaha, Karen (Brian) Taira-Fujimori and Cheryl (fiancé Dave Pratesa) Taira; son, Derek Taira; grandson, Jackson Fujimori; brother, Tom Taira; sisters-in-law, Helen Taira, Doris (Tak) Kato, Lorraine Tani, Irene (Walt) Yonamine, and Donna Toma; brothers-in-law, Richard (Fusako), Melvin, Rodney (Flo), Ronald (Mary), and Robert (Faye) Toma; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
