KUNIYOSHI, DAVID T. "DAVE". Passed away May 1, 2012, at the age of 34.

Dave was born in Oxnard, CA, on November 14, 1977, and grew up in Camarillo. He attended Los Primeros Structured School, Adolfo Camarillo High School, and Oxnard and Ventura Community Colleges. He played Roadrunner Football, and later played on the JV team for Camarillo High.

Dave enjoyed traveling – backpacking through Europe, driving solo across the US, taking family trips to Hawaii, and visiting distant relatives in Japan. He was an avid gamer who loved to cook, write poetry, work on computers, discuss philosophy, sing karaoke, bowl, shoot pool, play poker, camp and hike.

He was a member of the local American Legion, and Loyal Order of Moose. As a member of the Moose, he was able to share his talent in the kitchen – helping with weekly dinners, even planning some. He was selected the Camarillo Moose Rookie of the Year, 2005-2006.

Always willing to help friends and family, Dave will be remembered for his generous heart.

David is survived by his father, Charles; sisters, Amy, Cate, and Laura "Emi"; his cat, Ursula; and a large extended family.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 1 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden", 707 E. Temple St., L.A.

Burial services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 11 a.m. at Pacific Crest Cemetery, 2701 182nd St., Redondo Beach.

His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Humane Society of Ventura County, or a nonprofit of your choice.
