Colleen Kyoko Sakoda, age 86, was a long time resident of Hacienda Heights, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026. She is the beloved wife of Ronney; mother of Kelley (Cliff) Ikeda and Brett (Shelly) Sakoda. Predeceased by her sons Warren and Ryan Sakoda.

She was a loving grandmother to Kaylee, Brendan, Cammy, and Nicholas. She was the sister to Gary (Irene) Sumida; sister in law to Carolyn (Ray) Funatsu and Jimmy (Akemi) Sakoda. She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Colleen was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, auntie, and educator. At the beginning of her teaching career, she taught at Garfield High School. Later teaching at East L.A. college as an office administration professor. She was the department chairperson for several years.

She loved to travel with Ronney and one of her favorite places was at the video poker machines in Las Vegas. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
