Private family funeral services for the late Chizu Kawakami, 97-year-old, resident of North Hills, who passed away on January 14, 2008, were held on Monday, January 21 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden".

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Anna), Walter (Sharon), and Elmer (Judy) Kawakami; daughters, Grace Kaii, Zinnia (Gerald) Cameron, Dale (Shoichi) Kadonaga, Margaret Itagaki, and Jane (Roy) Muranaka; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Minoru Namba; and many other relatives.
