Private family services for the late Chiyoko Kawashiri, 96 year-old, Oakland born and former long time resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on December 9, 2008, were held on Saturday, December 20 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden."

She is survived by her sons, Tetsuro (Ikuko) and Yukio (Cathy) Kawashiri; daughters Chizuko (Don) Wright, Kazuko (Yasunori) Takakura, and Sachiko (Noboru) Tashima; she is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and many other family members.
