Memorial service for CHIYEKO "CHICKIE" SAKURAI, 77, a Tacoma born Nisei and resident of Gardena who passed away on November 13 at the Gardena Memorial Hospital, was held on Friday, November 17 at the Fukui Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Eric Kyle of Faith United Methodist Church officiating.
She is survived by her son, Michael; daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Nakata; grandchildren, Jennifer and Kaycie; brother, Eiji (Jeanne) Yamada of Spokane; sister, Kiyo Nishimura of Chicago; sister-in-law, Ets Yamada of Spokane and many nieces and nephews.
