Chikara " Chico" Masai, 93 years old, born in Hanford, California, resident of Covina, California, peacefully passed away on August 9, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Setsuko Masai; son, Mark (Heidi) Masai; daughters, Dawn (Jon) Sera and Kathy (Michael) Irei;  grandchildren, Riki (Brandon) Goetsch, Ashley (Jesse) Mote, Shayna Thompson, Kelly, Keith, Kayla Sera, Christopher, Kory Irei; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Zenjiro and Hideko, sister, Florence Nishi, and brothers, Tommy and Pete Masai.

A private family service will be held.
