Obituary
Funeral services for the late Chieko Shimokaji, 75-year-old, Hilo, HI born resident of Mission Viejo, who passed away on June 19, 2007, will be held on Sunday, June 24, 3:00 P.M. at Orange County Buddhist Church, 909 S. Dale Ave., Anaheim, under the direction of Fukui Mortuary.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Kiyoshi Shimokaji; son, Michael (Linda) Shimokaji; daughters, Gayle (Michael) Shapiro and Leslie (Gino) Aedo; granddaughters, Jenna and Mackenzie Shimokaji; grandsons, Tyler, Spencer and Grant Shapiro, and Cole Aedo; brother, Kazuo Umeno; sister, Fujie Murakami; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of koden and flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 2141 Rosecrans Ave., suite 7000, El Segundo, CA 90245, www.pancan.org.
