Private family funeral service for Chie Yoshimi 84-year-old Japan born resident of  Monterey Park who passed away on February 14, 2017, was held on Sunday, Feb. 19 at Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.

She is survived by her daughters, Jill Rumiko Yoshimi, Michelle Tomoko (Kristopher Motschenbacher) Yoshimi-Motschenbacher and Sharleen Miwako (James) McLaughlin; grandchildren, Straus Sekai, Schaefer Seiichi Motschenbacher and Madeline Kuniko, Natalie Kimiko McLaughlin; loving dog, Lula; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
