KAMADA, CAREY KOJIRO, 64 passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 22, 2017.  He was the third child of Frank and Aiko Kamada who both predeceased him.

Carey was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Hawthorne, CA until the age of 10 years old. His family moved to Riverside, CA where he attended Middle School. The family moved to Torrance, CA in 1966. Carey finished out his high school years at South High School.   He attended El Camino College for 2 years and transferred to USC where he earned a degree of PharmD.  He began working for Gardena Memorial Hospital after graduation and remained there for the next 40 years.

He leaves behind his sister, Patricia (Dan) Sasahara, his older brother, Curtis (JoAnn) Kamada and younger brother, Kent (Janice)  Kamada . Also missing him will be his nephews, Sean (Carla)  Sasahara, Matthew (Ali) Kamada, and Eric Kamada; his nieces, Shelley (Damon) Aldrich and Kimberly Kamada. He also leaves behind his grand nephews, Ethan and Elijah Sasahara and grand nieces, Autumn and Reagan Aldrich.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park chapel. 27501 South Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
