A memorial service was held for (B.K.) Bud Kiyoyuki Sakamoto of Philips Ranch on May 17, 2012 at the Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple, 505 East 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA. The deceased was born in San Gabriel on Oct. 10, 1913. He was interned in Heart Mountain, Wyoming and Tule Lake, CA. A long time resident and farmer in the Coachella Valley, he is predeceased by his wife, Hatsuko.

He is survived by his six daughters, Sachi (Mike) Sugawara, Nancy (William) Takano, Julie (Wallace) Yokoyama, Joyce (Richard) Kozuki, Toni (Gary) Kitazawa, and Naomi (Michael) McCallus and his ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
