Obituary

Brian was the only child of Takeo and Ikuko Morinaga.  Brian's mother, Ikuko, was the daughter of Kumeji and Hina Deguchi.  Ikuko's father was a famous performer.  He met Hina in England, where he was performing and were married, traveled all over together, and had their daughter Ikuko.  Takeo and Ikuko met in Chicago, fell in love, and married.  They had a wonderful life together, embracing life, and Brian was born.  Brian was special needs and was loved by everyone that met him.  He had a happy life and would follow right behind his mother.  She was his world until parkinson's took her away. He was devastated by the lose of her, but he still had his father, who loved him dearly.  They also had a routine together.  They would vacation in Las Vegas, where Brian loved to play slot machines.  He also loved shopping at Del Amo Mall, however, as the years passed, his father's health became an issue.  For the past year, Brian lived at the Hillside House in Santa Barbara.  Brian loved it there and they loved him.  During that time, he lost his father.  It is truly difficult for someone to feel the loss of both parents and Brian loved them so much.  Now, he has been reunited with his loving parents.  Together Again.

The family would like to thank Hillside House & staff, Visiting Angels & staff.  Torrance Rehabilitation Center & staff for all that you did for Brian, taking such great care for him, and going way beyond to make him happy.  Porshia, who also helped Brian's father and was Brian's caregiver for 10 years.  Thank you to Fukui Mortuary for taking care of all the arrangements.
