Bob Kiyoshi Hirai passed away peacefully at his home on September 28, 2018.
Bob grew up in Chula Vista, Ca.
Bob's family was sent to Santa Anita Assembly Center April 8, 1942 & transferred to Poston Relocation Center August 27, 1942 during the Japanese Internment Camp. After camp moved to Chicago & came back to LA in 1952.
He was originally 1 of 10 children born to Takichi & Matsuno. Now only survived by 1- younger Brother Tosti & 1-Sister Josie.
Retired in 1985 after 32 years from Arnold Engineering Co. In Fullerton, a Division of Allegheny Ludlum Industries as a Chief Tool & Dye Design Engineer & manufacturer of Micro Chips in the Semi Conductor Industry.
He is survived by Wife Sue of 62 years, Daughter Cindy, Son Kirk, Granddaughter Kelli & 2 Great Granddaughters Lexi & Taylor.
He was a wonderful provider & loving family man. His loving smile, gracious giving of his time & help will sincerely be missed. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral service was held on Monday, October 22 at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel.
Pastor Wayne Katayama of Anchor South Bay Church officiated.
