Betty Sadako Miyakawa

June 19, 1940 – December 20, 2020

Betty Sadako Miyakawa passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020, in Torrance, California, at the age of 80. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Fumiko and Kisuke Uyehara, and became a registered nurse before moving to the Mainland in 1962, where she met her future husband, Jack. They married in 1964.

She lived a very happy life and is survived by her husband, Jack, and daughters, Darlene and Debra, a brother, George, and sisters, Helen, Eunice and Hazel, along with many nephews and nieces.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Burial services will be at Rose Hills Cemetery on January 9, 2021.
