Betty Kitabayashi, born in Gardena, California on February 2, 1934, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 28, 2021. She was 87 years old.

Betty is now with her husband Richard, who passed away in 2012, and is survived by the rest of her loving family: son Mark (daughter-in-law Carol, and grandchildren Ryan and Kristyn), daughter Anne Fretwell (and grandchildren Kylie and Cody), and son Steven (daughter-in-law Dawn, grandchildren Bryce and Kaylee).

Per Betty's wishes, there will be a private family ceremony involving a burial at sea. In lieu of koden or flowers, Betty also requested that individuals make a donation to their favorite charity in her memory.
