Funeral services for the late Mr. Ben T. Tagami, 86 year-old Delano, CA born resident of Gardena who passed away peacefully on March 5 at his residence with his family by his side, will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 10:00 AM at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 West 158th St., Gardena, 90247 with Pastor Gary Shiohama of South Bay Community Church officiating.

Ben was a WWII veteran and a member of the 100th Battalion, one of three units that was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal at a November 2, 2011 ceremony in Washington DC.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean K. Tagami; children, Hogan, Stewart (Joanne) Tagami, Tracy (Derek) Narimatsu and Arnold Tagami; grandchildren, Reid and Jonathan Narimatsu and Brett Tagami; brother, Roy (Janet) Tagami; sister, Rose (Kenshi) Zenimura; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
