Private family funeral service for Ayame Takeshima, 101-year-old, Hawaii born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on April 3, 2015, was held on Sat. April 18 at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" with a minister from Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
She is survived by her nieces, Ikuko Shimizu, Yoshimi Takeshima and Akemi (Masaru) Sumi, latter two in Japan; nephews, Bunsho (Rinko), Yuji (Yukiko), and Seiji (Hiroko) Takeshima, latter two in Japan; and other relatives here and in Japan
