Obituary

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ayako Okada, a 96-year-old, Los Angeles, California-born, Kibei-Nisei resident of Diamond Bar and former internee of Jerome and Gila River Relocation Camps during WWII who passed away on April 25, 2013 will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 11:00 AM at the Buddhist Church of Santa Barbara, 1015 Montecito St., Santa Barbara , CA 93103, officiated by Rev. Henry Adams.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Fukui Mortuary "Chapel in the Garden" 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Mrs. Okada is survived by her children, Hiroko (Lowell) Chun, of Hawaii, and Susan (James) Nakata; granddaughters, Lindsay, Tracie, Jaymee and Karleigh Nakata; sister, Miyeko Nakamura of Japan. Also survived by many other relatives here and in Japan.
